Certerra Expands Southeast Presence with Acquisition of Skyrise Engineering and Testing
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. & LAS VEGAS — August 20, 2026 — Certerra today announced the acquisition of Skyrise Engineering and Testing, a rapidly growing engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The transaction marks Certerra’s fifth acquisition of 2026, further strengthening its presence throughout the Southeast.
Founded in 2022, Skyrise Engineering and Testing has grown into one of South Florida’s most trusted names in geotechnical and materials testing. Led by engineers Eric Stern and Richard Fesdjian, the Company’s core services include geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, specialty inspections, monitoring & condition assessment services, and environmental consulting. With an industry presence spanning 20 years, Stern and Fesdjian have played a role in many of South Florida’s most recognizable developments, reflecting the technical depth and responsiveness that have driven the firm’s rapid growth.

The acquisition continues a period of significant growth for Certerra. Since the beginning of 2026, the Company has completed five acquisitions, adding more than 250 team members, seven offices across five metropolitan markets, and new capabilities in building envelope testing and inspection, metallurgy and metals laboratory testing, and specialized engineering and consulting services, positioning the Company to continue delivering exceptional service and technical expertise to clients nationwide.
